A governadora Raquel Lyra recebeu, na tarde desta quinta-feira (16), o ministro de Portos e Aeroportos, Márcio França, no Palácio do Campo das Princesas. Na ocasião, foi apresentada pela chefe do Executivo a necessidade da conclusão da Transnordestina incluindo o ramal que chega até o Porto de Suape, a fim de melhorar a balança comercial pernambucana.
Além da ferrovia, também foram debatidas outras pautas estruturantes para Pernambuco, como a transposição do rio São Francisco, construção de moradias por meio do Minha Casa, Minha Vida, a requalificação do Metrô do Recife e das rodovias do estado.
Terminal será instalado na Ilha de Cocaia, arrendada pelo Governo de Pernambuco por 30 anos, por R$ 184 milhões. Investimento total é de R$ 1,5 bilhão.
