No total, em maio de 2023, foram produzidos no país 4,110 milhões de barris de óleo equivalente por dia, sendo 3,201 milhões de barris de petróleo e 144,410 milhões de metros cúbicos de gás natural. No petróleo, houve aumento de 1,9% na comparação com o mês anterior e de 11,2% em relação a maio de 2022. No gás natural, a produção aumentou 2% ante abril de 2023 e 9,6% na comparação com o mesmo mês do ano passado.
